Twelve Morningside
College nursing students will receive pins at the 2004 Professional
Beginnings Ceremony to be held Sunday,
Oct. 24, at 2 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church,
1735 Morningside Aveune.
The students include:
Sioux City
- Sarah Hackett and Melanie Mahr.
Iowa -
Ashley Fletcher, Sergeant Bluff; Jessica Hansen, Granville;
Stephanie Hilgenberg, Bayard; Jill Kienast, Manning; Kristi
Knoben and Kimberly Parker, Cherokee.
Nebraska
- Wendy Culligan, South Sioux City; Heather Push,
Kearney; Flordeliza Wacker, Wayne.
Other
- Nami Toyotani, Chiba, Japan.
The pinning ceremony
signifies a milestone in the student's educational process.
Each of the recipients is a third year nursing student. They
will receive a pin commemorating the work of Florence Nightingale.
The ceremony will
include a welcome by Dr. William Deeds, vice president for
academic affairs and dean of the college, along with an address
from nursing faculty members including Jacklyn Barber, Dr.
Kathleen Buchheit, Sharlene Georgesen, and Mary Kovarna.
