Neil
Cavuto, vice-president of business news for the
Fox News Channel and host of “Your World with Neil Cavuto,”
the number-one business show on cable news, will be the featured
speaker at the seventh annual Peter Waitt Lecture held at
Morningside College on Tuesday,
Nov. 9, at 7:30 p.m. in Eppley Auditorium. The
public is invited to attend this free event.
In addition to his
daily program, Cavuto also hosts Fox’s weekly wrap-up
program “Cavuto on Business.” He was named anchor
and managing editor of business news for the Fox News Channel
in 1996 and oversees all business coverage for the station
including the programs “Bulls & Bears,” “Forbes
on Fox,” and “Cashin’ In.”
Cavuto has been
recognized as one of the most influential business journalists
in America by The Journalist and Financial Reporter and was
recognized by the Wall Street Journal as the best interviewer
in business news. He has been nominated for five Cable ACE
awards and is the author of the New York Times bestseller
“More Than Money: True Stories of People Who Learned
Life's Ultimate Lesson.”
The Peter
Waitt Lecture was established in 1997 by Norman Waitt
Jr. in recognition of the contributions of his uncle Peter
Waitt as an entrepreneur, businessman, and community leader,
and to provide quality speakers for students of business and
the community. The lecture is endowed by The Kind World Foundation,
Dakota Dunes, S.D.
