Morningside students inducted into psychology honor society

The Morningside College chapter of Psi Chi, an international psychology honor society, recently inducted six new members.

Students inducted were Ashley Boman of Clay Center, Neb.; Samantha Dailey of Sioux City; Kalee Gross of Omaha, Neb.; Karen Hatlestad of Maplewood, Minn.; Cole Hoff of Sioux City; and Megan Ohlendorf of Sioux City.

Membership in Psi Chi is awarded to undergraduate and graduate students who are making the study of psychology one of their major interests and meet grade point average requirements and other qualifications. The Morningside chapter recently won a national model chapter award for its outstanding membership induction, record keeping, chapter correspondence, and service projects.

Dr. Larry Sensenig, professor and chair of the psychology department, is the faculty advisor for the Morningside chapter of Psi Chi.

Psi Chi, founded in 1929, has chapters at over 1,000 college university campuses in the United States, Canada and Ireland.
