The Morningside College Symphonic Wind Ensemble will perform a fall concert on Friday, Nov. 12, at 7:30 p.m. in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Ave.
The Symphonic Wind Ensemble is Morningside’s concert band. The student ensemble, directed by Tamey Anglley, assistant professor of music, performs contemporary and traditional wind literature.
The group will collaborate with the clarinet and saxophone ensembles to perform various works by American composers and to preview songs to be performed for Christmas at Morningside. The group will also perform songs that will be featured in its spring tour. The group toured Spain in 2009 and will take a regional tour of Iowa this spring.
