Morningside College will present its 15th annual Christmas at Morningside concert on Friday, Dec. 3, at 7:30 p.m. in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Avenue. The concert is free and open to the public.
Christmas at Morningside is a unique musical tradition held each year as a gift from Morningside College to the community. This year’s concert, “Of the Father’s Love Begotten,” celebrates the spirit of Christmas with new and traditional music performed by vocalists and instrumentalists. The concert will feature Morningside College choral ensembles, instrumental ensembles and soloists. The First Presbyterian Church Choir, the Abu Bekr Shrine Chanters of Sioux City and the Siouxland Master Chorale will perform with college singers in the Morningside College Choral Union.
Tim Watson and Jill Wilson, assistant professors of music, will direct the Morningside College Choral Union, Singing Men of Morningside, Bel Canto Singers and Morningside College Choir. Instrumental ensembles that will perform include the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Tamey Anglley, assistant professor of music, and the March Piano Duo.
