Morningside College recently announced three new full-time employees and a new appointment for a current full-time employee.
The new staff members are Caroline Donaway, project manager for Project Unlimited Proficiency; Angela House, switchboard operator/business office assistant; and Shelli Jensen, central scheduling coordinator. Julie Bamrick has moved to a new position as degree auditor.
Donaway has come to Morningside from the Sioux City Community School District, where she was coordinator of the English as a Second Language (ESL) program. At Morningside, she is managing a federally-funded program that prepares veteran educators to acquire an ESL endorsement from the Iowa Department of Education. Donaway has a master’s degree in elementary education from Morningside College.
House has been hired to operate the college’s main telephone switchboard and provide assistance in the business office. Among other things, she serves as a backup for the accounts payable position. House comes to Morningside from Hellige Frey & Roe law firm in Sioux City, where she was the office manager/billing manager.
Jensen has been hired to maintain a master schedule of events at Morningside College, to distribute the schedule of upcoming campus activities and to coordinate the rental of facilities by off-campus groups. She also coordinates room set-up for activities and assists the vice president for communications and marketing in general office management. She previously worked as an administrative assistant/salesperson in the hotel industry.
Bamrick has moved into a new position at Morningside College. She previously served as the college switchboard operator and as an assistant in the business office. Now she works in the registrar’s office, auditing students’ academic files as they progress toward graduation and then eventually verifying graduation eligibility.
