Morningside College presents Christmas at Morningside concert on Dec. 4

Morningside College presents its 14th annual Christmas at Morningside concert on Friday, Dec. 4, at 7:30 p.m. in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Avenue. The concert is free and open to the public.

Christmas at Morningside is a unique musical tradition held each year as a gift from Morningside College to the community. This year’s concert, “Ring Out Wild Bells,” celebrates the spirit of Christmas with new and traditional music performed by vocalists and instrumentalists. The concert will feature Morningside College choral ensembles, instrumental ensembles and soloists. The First Presbyterian Church Choir, the Abu Bekr Shrine Chanters of Sioux City, the Siouxland Discovery Chorus and the First Presbyterian Church Bell Choir will make special guest appearances.

Tim Watson, assistant professor of music, and Jill Wilson, visiting instructor of music, will direct the Morningside College Choral Union, Singing Men, Bel Canto Women’s Chorus and Morningside College Choir. Instrumental ensembles that will perform include the Morningside Symphonic Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Tamey Anglley, assistant professor of music; March Piano Duo; and the Morningside College Trio.

For more information, contact the Morningside College music department at (712) 274-5210.
