Honorable mention awards went to Sioux City students Holly Becker, Kayla Curry, Andy Heiser, Lacy Jacobsen, Joe Johnson, Annika Kolbo and Athena Riesenberg, and also to Torkelson; Jessica Bartak of Ewing, Neb.; Abby Frazier of Dallas Center, Iowa; and Tony Wiley of Diagonal, Iowa.
This year’s judges were Carol Faber, an art professor from Iowa State University, and David Versluis, an art professor from Dordt College.
“My selections for award winners and honorable mentions in this exhibition were determined by visual impact, creative concept or innovative ideas, strong sense of design or composition, craftsmanship and presentation,” Faber said.
