Two Morningside College students received Best Witness honors at the First Annual Twin Cities Invitational mock trial tournament that took place recently at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
Determined to be among the 10 best witnesses in the whole tournament were Morningside students Jen Roemen, a senior from Rock Rapids, Iowa, and Jessica Kuhr, a freshman from Platte Center, Neb. There were 13 teams total competing in this tournament. They came from Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa.
Lillian López, associate professor of political science, coaches Morningside College’s mock trial team with attorney Amy Ellis, who works for the Woodbury County Attorney’s Office in Sioux City.
