A traditional Thanksgiving worship service will be held at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, in Roadman Formal Lounge, 3600 Peters Ave.
The public is invited to the free event, which is sponsored by Morningside’s Academic and Cultural Arts Series (ACAS) and Campus Ministry.
The worship service will include Thanksgiving hymns, prayer, and scripture. A few members of the faculty, staff, and student body have volunteered to talk about things for which they are thankful and why. After that, others will be given the opportunity to share.
The service will be led by the Rev. Kathy Olson, campus pastor and director of church relations at Morningside College. Olson received her bachelor’s degree from Morningside College and her master of divinity degree from the Saint Paul School of Theology in Kansas City, Mo. She was ordained in June 2007 as an elder in the United Methodist Church.
