Morningside College Music Department to present concert

The Morningside College Music Department will present a concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Ave. This event is free and open to the public.

The Morningside Symphonic Wind Ensemble, clarinet ensemble, saxophone ensemble and brass ensemble will be performing at the concert. David Lambert and Jay O’Leary direct the ensembles.

The Symphonic Wind Ensemble will perform “Kirkpatrick Fanfare” by Andrew Boysen Jr., “October” by Eric Whitacre, and “Joy Revisited” by Frank Ticheli. The brass ensemble will perform “Susato Suite” by Tylman Susato. The saxophone ensemble will perform “Minuet and Polonaise” by Telemann, “Rondo” by J.C. Bach, “Gavotte” by Kirnberger, and “Song and Polka” by Percy Hall. The clarinet ensemble will perform “Grazioso” by Vivaldi, “Fantasia” by Paul Harvey, “Gigue” by Yvonne Desportes, and “Scott Joplin Rags” arranged by Peter Spink.
