New student organization at Morningside College helps Cub Scout Pack
Morningside College students started a design organization on campus this school year, and their first major project was to design a T-shirt for a local Cub Scout Pack.
The Morningside College student chapter of AIGA, a professional graphic design organization, was formed to provide professional graphic design connections and opportunities for design students to serve the community.
When the chapter learned that Cub Scout Pack 221 from Grace United Methodist Church needed help designing T-shirts, it seemed like a perfect fit for the organization, said Kelsey Martin, who served as president of the Morningside chapter this year.
“They did a really good job,” said Tim Higgins, leader of the Cub Scout Pack. “They gave us several options to choose from.”
The faculty advisor for the Morningside chapter of AIGA is John Kolbo, instructor of graphic design at Morningside.
