Morningside College names student ambassadors

for 2006-2007 academic year

Thirty Morningside College students have been named student ambassadors, and seven students have been named student assistants for the 2006-2007 academic year. See photos of the students here.

Student ambassadors work with prospective students and their families during the college selection process, host prospective students overnight in the residence halls, provide campus tours to alumni, parents, and visitors, and represent the college at various campus events including the Celebration of Excellence Scholar Weekends and campus clean-up days, among others.

In addition to those activities, student assistants also work closely with Morningside’s admissions counselors to facilitate communication with prospective students through personal notes, e-mails, and telephone calls.
Student ambassadors and assistants serve under the direction of the college’s office of Admissions. Students were selected for the positions based on personal interviews and referrals from Morningside College faculty and staff.
