Morningside College student Danielle Dahlkoetter recently won a first-place award for her presentation at the Great Plains Students’ Psychology Convention at Northwest Missouri State in Maryville, Mo.
Dahlkoetter presented research she and recent Morningside graduate Kelsey Kallhoff had done in the Video Game Institute for Education and Research lab at Morningside College. Her presentation, “Looking Out for Little Sister: Characteristics Predicting Response to a Moral Dilemma in a Video Game,” took first place in a poster competition.
Susan Burns, associate dean for academic affairs, and Kim Christopherson, assistant professor of psychology, took five students to the psychology convention.
Dahlkoetter is the daughter of Dennis and Cynthia Dahlkoetter of Grant, Neb. She is a junior at Morningside majoring in psychology counseling and English.
