Seventeen Morningside College students will be performing in a voice area recital at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Ave., on the Morningside campus.
Each of the students is performing two songs or arias that he or she will present April 16 during student adjudications sponsored by the Lewis & Clark Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (L&C NATS). The Morningside students will be among more than 80 students from the Siouxland area participating in the April 16 L&C NATS event at Morningside College.
Students performing during the April 7 recital are studying voice under Dr. Gail Dooley, professor of music and chair of Morningside’s music department, and Morningside adjunct music faculty members Kate Saulsbury and Shannon Salyards.
Jayne Koch and Carolyn Price will be performing as piano accompanists during the recital.
