Two Morningside College students hold senior art shows March 17-22

Senior art shows for Morningside College students Alisha Wheat and Laura Nelson will be on display March 17 through 22 in the Eppley Auditorium Art Gallery, 3625 Garretson Avenue, on the Morningside campus. The shows will feature artwork from multiple courses taken during the students’ four years at Morningside and will focus on graphic design, typography and photography.

The shows are free and open to the public. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. A reception for the artists will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 21, just outside the gallery.

Wheat, a graphic design major and advertising minor from Smithland, Iowa, will display artwork in graphic design and photography. Nelson, a graphic design major and advertising minor from Jefferson, Iowa, will focus on graphic design, typography and photography in her show.
