Morningside College students display photographic re-enactments

of famous paintings

 

Students in a creative photography class at Morningside College have an exhibit of photographic re-enactments of famous paintings on display at Long Home Coffee Shop, 5714 Sunnybrook Drive, in Sioux City.

The photographs, which will be on display through the end of April, are exhibited with a small print of the painting after which they are modeled.

Students with photographs in the show are Cassie Burden from Norwalk, Iowa; Nick Buth from Danbury, Iowa; Sarah Chambers from Sheldon, Iowa; Alyssa Filipek from Collierville, Tenn.; Sammi Grella from Beatrice, Neb.; Kelsey Prosser from Sturgis, S.D.; Brooke Spencer from Story City, Iowa; Tony Wiley of Diagonal, Iowa; and Samantha Clausen, Judy Ford, Kane Kuehl and Elaine Turnipseed, all of Sioux City.

The class is taught by Dolie Thompson and Matthew Ellis, teaching assistant.
