Anna Baltzer will present “Life in Occupied Palestine: Eyewitness Stories and Photos” at 7 p.m. Sunday, April 5, at Morningside College in the UPS Auditorium in Lincoln Center, 3627 Peters Ave.
This event is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the Siouxland Peace Coalition and the Morningside College Democrats. Fruit, coffee and Middle-Eastern pastries will be served.
Baltzer is a Fulbright scholar and a graduate of Columbia University in New York City. As a volunteer with the International Women’s Peace Service, Baltzer documents human rights abuses in the West Bank and supports Palestinian-led nonviolent resistance to the Israeli occupation.
Baltzer is the author of the book “Witness in Palestine: A Jewish American Woman in the Occupied Territories.” She is the granddaughter of Holocaust refugees. More information on Baltzer is available on her Internet Web site, www.AnnaInTheMiddleEast.com.
