A talent show featuring musical performances by Morningside College faculty, staff and students is one of the highlights of the college’s 2008 Family Weekend “Look at Us Now!” April 4 through 6.
The talent show begins at 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Avenue, on the Morningside campus.
Families of Morningside students will have the opportunity to attend a variety of events on and off campus during 2008 Family Weekend. Activities begin on Friday, April 4, with the Sioux City Concert Course presentation of The Dutton Family at 7:30 p.m. in Eppley Auditorium. A special midnight movie screening at Carmike Cinemas in the Southern Hills Mall will close out Friday’s schedule of events.
On Saturday, April 5, a Mustangs softball double-header against Nebraska Wesleyan College begins at 1 p.m. at the Elizabeth & Irving Jensen Softball Complex on Morningside’s campus. Judy Leinen, a music major from Des Moines, Iowa, will present her senior recital at 4 p.m. in Eppley Auditorium.
On Sunday, April 6, students and their families can choose from a softball or baseball double-header. The softball team plays Bellevue University at 1 p.m. at the Elizabeth & Irving Jensen Softball Complex. The baseball team plays Dakota Wesleyan University at 1:30 p.m. at Lewis and Clark Park, 3400 Line Drive, in Sioux City.
