Morningside College student Judy Leinen, a junior from Des Moines, Iowa, will give a violin recital on Sunday, April 1, at 4 p.m. in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Avenue, on the college campus. The recital is free and open to the public.
Leinen’s program will include selections from Aram Khachaturian’s Violin Concerto, Sonata No. 1 Op. 12 by Beethoven, “Serenade” by Ernst Donhnanyi, and Bach’s Concerto in D minor for Two Violins and Piano. Jayne Koch will serve as piano accompanist. Leinen will perform a duet with Ilisja Sheri-Moreland, a Morningside senior from Des Moines, and the trio with Justin Taylor, a Morningside sophomore from Des Moines, and Amy Joseph, member of the Euclid Quartet.
