Dr. Gail Dooley to give recital

Dr. Gail Dooley, soprano and associate professor of music at Morningside College, will give a faculty recital on Sunday, April 15, at 7:30 p.m. in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Avenue. The recital is free and open to the public.

Dooley’s program will include works by Leonard Bernstein, Cecile Chaminade, Manuel de Falla, Gershwin, Sylvia Glickman, Handel, Mozart, and William Bolcom. A slide show presentation of images and translations will accompany performances of the foreign language compositions. The slide presentation was created by Morningside College senior Andrew Goodell.

Dooley will be accompanied on piano by Michele Grossman, adjunct instructor of piano at Morningside; on cello by Joseph Shufro, associate professor of music; and on violin by Jameson Cooper, member of the Euclid Quartet and adjunct instructor of music at Morningside. Also collaborating with Dooley will be baritone Stephen Lundberg, adjunct instructor of applied voice, and tenor Randy Peters, staff member in Morningside’s theatre department.
