Six Morningside College students attended and exhibited their work in galleries at the national Self Employment in the Arts (SEA) Conference held Feb. 25-26, in Naperville, Ill.
The conference was conducted by North Central College in Naperville and was sponsored in part by The Coleman Foundation, the John T. and Jeanne Hughes Charitable Foundation, and Columbia College in Chicago, Ill. Its purpose is to connect students and other aspiring artists with working artists, educators, and arts and business professionals.
The students and their genres include:
Sioux City: Michael Drury, studio art; Elizabeth Green, studio art; Tomomi Konno, studio art, Karen Skalka, graphic design and Bearly Naked Bears.
Iowa: Rano LoVan, Marcus, graphic design; Cassandra Spence, Des Moines, studio art.
