Morningside College recently hired two new full-time staff members to fill positions at the college.
The new staff members are Jennifer Nelson, electronic/tech services librarian, and Jodie Nieman, housekeeper.
As electronic/tech services librarian, Nelson manages the online catalog system, internal library network and all PC operations, including upgrades and maintenances. She also oversees subscription purchasing and technical setup of electronic reference resources. Nelson previously was a library interviewer and researcher for the Maintain IT Project in San Francisco, Calif. She has a master’s degree in library science from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, N.J.
As a housekeeper, Nieman is responsible for the cleanliness of assigned areas and performance of other duties established by the director of physical plant and the custodial supervisor. She previously worked at Hy-Vee and Taco John’s. Nieman is a graduate of South Sioux City Senior High School.
