Cathee Phillips, director of external relations at Morningside College, made a presentation entitled, “Do-It-Yourself Surveys” at the 2006 National Public Relations Society of America’s Counselors for Higher Education (CHE) Senior Summit held in April in Washington D.C.
In the presentation, Phillips reviewed the benefits to an organization of conducting regular surveys of its constituencies and provided a simple 5-step guide to conducting effective surveys, including how to conduct a telephone survey at minimal cost.
Phillips joined the staff at Morningside in 1999. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish from Morningside College and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in leadership at Bellevue University in Omaha, Neb. In addition to her volunteer activities on behalf of One Book One Siouxland, she serves as treasurer of the Greater Sioux City Press Club, secretary for Quota International, Inc. of Sioux City, and a trustee for the Jonathan David Phillips Performing Arts Scholarship Fund.
