Morningside College to host summer visit day for high school students clocktower

Morningside College will host its second “Explore Morningside” event for sophomore and junior high school students on Wednesday, June 15, from 9:15 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the college campus.


The event will give high school students an opportunity to tour the Morningside College campus, understand how to begin the college selection process, learn about Morningside’s academic programs, and discuss financial aid options. Other activities will include painting the Spoonholder, a popular campus icon. Lunch will be provided at no charge.


Morningside College enrolled 1,204 full-time and part-time students for the 2004-2005 academic year and welcomes students of all faiths and backgrounds. Morningside offers five bachelor’s degrees, including bachelor of arts, bachelor of science, bachelor of music, bachelor of music education, and bachelor of nursing, and a master of arts in teaching degree. The college was founded in 1894 by the Methodist Episcopal Church and remains affiliated with the United Methodist Church today.
