Morningside
College will extend a warm welcome to college-bound
students and their families looking for the “perfect
fit” during Iowa
Private College Week (IPCW), scheduled to
take place Aug. 1 through Aug. 5.
Organized campus visits will begin at 9
a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
each day in the Olsen Student Center, 3609 Peters Avenue.
Activities for the week will also include faculty fairs and
sessions with Morningside College admissions counselors. Students
and their families will have the opportunity to visit one-on-one
with Morningside faculty members about their areas of academic
interest, meet current students, and speak with financial
aid advisors.
Now in its seventh year, Iowa Private College Week is sponsored
by the Iowa Association of Independent Colleges and Universities
(IAICU).
Students can register
here for Iowa Private College week or at the IAICU website,
www.ThinkIndependently.com,
or by calling the Morningside College Admissions department
at 1-800-831-0803, ext. 5111.
At the first college
tour, students will receive a passport for collecting campus
visit stamps, which will allow them to apply to the schools
they visit without paying application fees. With three or
more stamps, any participating private Iowa college or university
will waive the application fee. Students are allowed to collect
up to two passport stamps per day.
