Morningside College will host a panel discussion on the future of energy from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, in the UPS Auditorium in Lincoln Center, 3627 Peters Ave. This event is free and open to the public.
Panelists will present various perspectives on the direction of energy production and the growing needs of energy consumers.
The panelists will be Alan Dostal, corporate nuclear business manager for Nebraska Public Power District; Anthony Gill, methane plant and gas collection system manager for L.P. Gill Landfill in Jackson, Neb.; Nathan Kalaher, a principal designer at PLaN Architecture in Sioux City; and Mark Reinders, franchise manager for MidAmerican Energy.
This event is sponsored by the Morningside College Committee on Environmental Sustainability and the Morningside Civic Union. William Heyborne, assistant professor of biology and chemistry at Morningside College, will serve as moderator for the panel discussion.
