Morningside College hosts Celebration of Excellence Scholarship Weekends

Students who have been nominated for a Morningside College Celebration of Excellence Scholarship are invited to attend one of four scholarship weekends the college will host this winter and spring.

Scholarship weekend dates, which are Fridays and Saturdays, include: January 16 and 17, January 30 and 31, February 13 and 14, and March 13 and 14. Scholarship weekends are open to prospective students who have been accepted for admission and meet the scholarship eligibility requirements.

Each weekend features social events, panel discussions, interviews and auditions or evaluations with faculty, an organization and activities fair, financial aid appointments, campus tours and a scholar recognition luncheon.

"Our scholarship weekends are a great opportunity for prospective students and their families to get a realistic look at life at Morningside College,” said Robbie Rohlena, dean of enrollment.

After the scholarship weekends, students are awarded scholarships that include President's Scholarship Awards of up to $40,000 ($10,000 each year for four years), Dean's Scholarship Awards of up to $24,000 ($6,000 each year for four years), Talent Achievement Awards of up to $16,000 ($4,000 each year for four years), and Mustang Co-Curricular Awards of up to $12,000 ($3,000 each year for four years).
