Students who have been nominated for a Morningside College Celebration of Excellence (COE) Scholarship are invited to attend one of four COE Scholar Weekends the college will host this winter and spring. COE Scholar Weekend dates are Friday and Saturday, Jan. 19 and 20, Feb. 2 and 3, Feb. 23 and 24, and Mar. 16 and 17. COE Scholar Weekends are open to students who have been accepted for admission and nominated for COE scholarships.
“Our Celebration of Excellence program provides both prospective students and their families a realistic look into life at Morningside College,” said Joel Weyand, Morningside’s director of admissions. Prospective students who wish to participate must apply for admission, be accepted, and meet the scholarship eligibility requirements.
Whether visiting for the first or fourth time, scholar weekends offer plenty of opportunities for prospective students to focus on their own educational needs and goals. Each weekend features social events, panel discussions, interviews and auditions or evaluations with faculty, an organization and activities fair, financial aid appointments, campus tours, and a scholar recognition luncheon.
COE Scholarships include President’s Scholarship Awards, Dean’s Scholarship Awards, Mustang Co-Curricular Awards, and Talent Achievement Awards. To register for a scholar weekend, call 712-274-5111 or click here for more information. Information about the scholarships can be found here.
