Morningside College announces schedule, will hold auditions for

Betty Ling Tsang Summer Fine Arts Series

Morningside College recently announced the sixth season of the Betty Ling Tsang Summer Fine Arts Series. Auditions for the summer productions will be at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, and at noon Sunday, Feb. 24, in Klinger-Neal Theatre, 3700 Peters Ave., on the Morningside campus.

Events on the schedule include “Godspell” on June 7 and 8; a Sioux City Symphony Pops Concert on June 29; “Goldilocks and the Three Bears” on July 12 and 13; and “Guys and Dolls” on Aug. 9 and 10.

Community members interested in performing in “Godspell, “Goldilocks and the Three Bears” or “Guys and Dolls” are asked to bring an up-tempo piece of their choosing to audition on either Feb. 22 or 24. A pianist will be provided.

The summer fine arts series is named for the late Betty Ling Tsang, a 1940 Morningside College music graduate. It is designed to bring free, quality music and theatre performances to residents of the Sioux City area. Performances take place in the Buhler Outdoor Performance Center on the Morningside campus, with the rain location being Klinger-Neal Theatre.
