The Morningside College Choir will perform in six communities between March 2 and 7 during a spring break tour of Iowa.
The Morningside choir will perform at Grace Lutheran Church in LeMars on March 2, First United Methodist Church in Algona on March 3, Manchester United Methodist Church in Manchester on March 4, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Peosta on March 5, Trinity United Methodist Church in Charles City on March 6, and First United Methodist Church in Guthrie Center on March 7.
The free performances begin at 7 p.m.
Tim Watson, assistant professor of music and director of choral activities at Morningside, will direct the performances.
The Morningside College Choir is a select 35-voice ensemble composed of the finest vocalists on the Morningside campus. Nearly 50 percent of the choir members have majors other than music. The choir has performed extensively in the United States and toured in Europe and Asia.
