Morningside College recently announced the winners of the all-campus student art show, which is on exhibit through Friday, March 11, in the Eppley Art Gallery, 3625 Garretson Ave.
Judy Ford of Sioux City was awarded first place for her photo series “Joy, Forgotten”; Annika Kolbo of Sioux City was awarded second place for her untitled relief print; and Shea Hartmann Hodges of Sioux City was awarded third place for her acrylic painting “The Space in Between.”
Honorable mentions were awarded to Jacob Lehmann of Merrill, Iowa, for his untitled photograph; Andrew Gerodias of Laurens, Iowa, for his clay sculpture “Forlorn Flora”; and Bailey Bichel of Glenwood, Iowa, for her typographic design.
Judges were Sioux City Art Center curator Todd Behrens and graphic designer Corey Vondrak.
The all-campus student art show features painting, drawing, photography, graphic design, printmaking and sculpture. It is free and open to the public. The Eppley Art Gallery is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
