Symphonic Wind Ensemble at Morningside College to give a performance

The Symphonic Wind Ensemble at Morningside College will perform on Friday, Feb. 19, at 7:30 p.m. in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Ave. 

This event is free and open to the public. 

The concert, titled “Across the Pond,” will feature the works of European composers such as Darius Milhaud, Gustav Holst and Ralph Vaughan Williams.

The Symphonic Wind Ensemble is a student group that performs traditional and contemporary wind literature to its audiences. The ensemble toured through Iowa in 2008 and through southern Spain in 2009.

The Symphonic Wind Ensemble is under the direction of Dr. Tamey Anglley, assistant professor of music.
