William Deeds, dean and vice president for academic affairs for Morningside College, is being honored by Kansas State University (KSU) by being named a 2009 Alumni Fellow.
This award, sponsored by the dean’s council, the president’s office and the alumni association at KSU, recognizes alumni who have excelled in their careers and have been outstanding in their field.
This program also allows alumni members to meet with current students and faculty and act as mentors encouraging the progression of careers and education.
Deeds is a 1977 and 1979 graduate of KSU with a master’s degree and doctorate in experimental psychology. He began working with Morningside College in 2000 after having been with Moravian College in Bethlehem, Penn., where he was most recently dean for academic affairs and professor of psychology.
