The music education department at Morningside College, in conjunction with the Leo Kucinski Academy of Music, will be offering a six-week session of music classes for 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds.
Lessons will take place on Feb. 10, 17 and 24 and March 10, 17 and 24. The 3-year-old class will meet from 9:15 to 9:45 a.m., and the 4- and 5-year-old class will meet from 10 to 10:30 a.m.
Children will be introduced to musical concepts through songs, stories and games. Participation by both the caregiver and the child is required for 3-year-olds and encouraged for 4- and 5-year-olds.
The teachers will be Morningside music education majors under the supervision of Jill Wilson, visiting instructor of music education at Morningside College.
It costs $40 to participate in the six-week session. Those interested may contact Suzy Turnquist at 274-5357 to register or for more information. Each class will be limited to eight students.
