Comedian Preacher Moss will present his “End of Racism” comedy and lecture tour on Friday, Feb. 23, at 8 p.m. in Buckingham’s in the lower level of the Olsen Student Center, 3609 Peters Avenue.
The public is invited to the free event, which is sponsored by Morningside’s Academic and Cultural Arts Series (ACAS) and the Morningside Activities Council (MAC). The event is part of Morningside’s celebration of Black History Month.
Moss is a former writer for “The Damon Wayans Show.” He has also written for Darryl Hammond on “Saturday Night Live” and for “The George Lopez Show.” With his insight on “racial understanding vs. racial interaction,” Moss is regarded as one of the funniest social commentators on the college scene today.
His television appearances include Comedy Central, Politically Incorrect, ABC’s Nightline, and BET’s Comicview. Moss has performed with Maya Angelou, WAR, Stanley Clarke, Chris Farley, The Last Poets, George Wallace, Will Durst, and many others.
The February 23 performance will mark his third appearance at Morningside.
