Morningside College announces the addition of two new staff employees.
Jeanette Frey has accepted the position of accountant in the business office. She will be responsible for billing, accounts receivable, working with students on their accounts, and other duties of the business office.
Frey graduated from Morningside in 1995 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration. She was previously employed as senior financial analyst at Well’s Dairy in Le Mars, Iowa, and as a seasonal tax preparer for Henjes, Conner, and Williams, P.C., in Sioux City. She assumed her duties on January 15.
Cynthia Scott has accepted the position of coordinator of central scheduling and administrative assistant to the director of public relations. She will be responsible for scheduling, and coordinating campus events and community events held on campus as well as assisting the director of public relations.
Scott holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing management from Bellevue University. She was previously employed as a corporate community developer for the New Iowan Center, working in job placement, career development, and planning community activities. She also served as a donor consultant for the Siouxland Community Blood Bank and volunteered for several years as development director for the city of Salix, Iowa, where she was involved in planning and promoting community festivals and organizing fundraising campaigns. Scott began her new duties on Jan. 31.
