The Morningside College Student Nurses Association (MCSNA) will host the a blood drive on Thursday, Feb. 22, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the lobby of the Olsen Student Center, 3609 Peters Avenue, on the college campus. The public is invited to participate.
The Siouxland Community Blood Bank will be on hand to conduct the blood drive. The public is invited to participate. Reservations are not required. Participants need to be at least 17 years old, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, and be in general good health to donate blood. Photo identification is required for all donations.
The MCSNA is a chapter of the Iowa Association of Nursing Students (IANS) and the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA). All Morningside College nursing students are enrolled as members of MCSNA during their sophomore year and membership continues throughout their academic experience until graduation. MCSNA assists students in their academic, social, and professional development by providing a variety of campus and community activities and opportunities throughout the year including campus socials, community service projects, and mission trips, to name a few.
