The Morningside College Dance Team competed in the collegiate division at the Iowa State Dance and Drill Team Competition held Dec. 1 - 2, at Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium in Des Moines, Iowa.
The team received a Division I rating for both their jazz and pom routines as well as 5th place for their pom routine.
Members of the Morningside College Dance Team who performed included:

Iowa: Ashley Brewer, co-captain, and Teryn Pomerenke, Sergeant Bluff; Tricia Cropley, Lawton; Lauren Deichmann, Marcus; Grace Holbrock, Corning; Jonalee Jackes, LeMars; Bailey Johnson, Milford; Kendra Kock, Breda; Danielle Nielsen, Audubon; Tiffany Pribyl, Crescent; Myckell Schenk, Neola; and Tiffany Taylor, co-captain, Villisca.
Morningside’s dance team is coordinated by Tracy Bennett.
The Iowa State Dance and Drill Team Competition featured more than 300 high school and college dance and drill teams from across the state competing in several different classes including pom, jazz, hip-hop/funk, color guard, and novelty, among others.
