Molly Williams, professor of business administration at Morningside College, recently attended the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Leadership Conference in Arlington, Va.
She attended as incoming president of Siouxland SHRM, a local chapter with over 100 members. The mission of SHRM is to serve the business community through education, networking and sharing best practices in the management of personnel.
Williams also took part in the pre-conference Advocacy Day. Along with two other Iowans, she lobbied Sens. Tom Harkin and Chuck Grassley and Rep. Steve King for extension of the Employer Provided Educational Assistance credit, a tax benefit set to expire at the end of this year.
Williams joined the faculty at Morningside College in 1991. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and a law degree from the University of South Dakota.
