Morningside College
has been designated one of the Midwest's "Best Comprehensive
Colleges-Bachelors" in the newly released U.S.News &
World Report 's 2005 college rankings. Morningside is
ranked no. 37 out of 107 comprehensive bachelors colleges
in the Midwest.
Morningside is one
of only ten private colleges in the state of Iowa to make
the "Top Schools" list for the Midwest.
"Last fall, we set
a long-term goal to become one of the best private residential
colleges in the Midwest," said Morningside President John
Reynders. "While we have established our own set of benchmarks
to reach before we will consider ourselves to have fulfilled
this goal, we are certainly inspired by our improved U.S.
News ranking and by earning their 'Best College' designation.
Our faculty and staff are to be congratulated for their hard
work and dedication."
Morningside has also
been designated a "Best Midwestern College" by The Princeton
Review, a company that assists high school students in their
college searches and develops college guidebooks.
