Morningside College announces summer graduates

Thirty-six students graduated with bachelor’s degrees and nine other students received Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degrees from Morningside College this summer.

Elliott Brand, Mackenzie Deeds, Preston Fischer, Thomas Hackett, Joel Peplinski, Dillon Plantage, and Brandon Sturges of Sioux City received bachelor of arts degrees.

Others who received bachelor of arts degrees were: Hogan Cemper of Bellevue, Neb.; Juan Chen of Fujian, Japan; Craig Doty of Alcester, S.D.; Tyrel Drey of Storm Lake, Iowa; Joel Frandsen of Grand Island, Neb.; Michelle Greenlee of Anita, Iowa; Erika Helt of Dakota City, Neb.; Huang Huang of Callaway, Fla.; Jieying Huang of Fujian; Miaowan Lin of Fujian; Nicklas Miessner of Rapid City, S.D.; Kayla Miller of South Sioux City, Neb.; Laura Nelson of Jefferson, Iowa; Tyler Ommen of Sheldon, Iowa; Emily Peterson of Red Oak, Iowa; Brian Sauter of Spencer, Iowa; Alisha Wheat of Smithland, Iowa; Xiaoyhan of Fujian; Ye Xu of Fujian; and Ting Yu of Fujian.

Jeremy Letsche and Elliott Pomplun of Sioux City received bachelor of science degrees.

Others who received bachelor of science degrees were: Samuel Becker of Storm Lake, Iowa; Susan Kraayenbrink of Jefferson, S.D.; Joseph Lockett of Bellevue, Neb.; Benjamin Nashleanas of Hinton, Iowa; Aaron Tiefenthaler of Lake View, Iowa; Alexander Weborg of Pender, Neb.; and Chigusa Yoshihara of Arlington Heights, Ill.

Nashleanas graduated Summa Cum Laude (with highest honor) for having a cumulative grade point average of 3.81 or higher.

Frandsen, Jieying Huang, and Wang graduated Magna Cum Laude (with great honor) for having cumulative grade point averages of 3.66 or higher.

Drey, Huang Huang, Peterson, and Pomplun graduated Cum Laude (with honor) for having cumulative grade point averages of 3.50 or higher.
