Omaha rock/jam band Quartus will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug 20, in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Avenue, on the Morningside College campus.
The concert is free and open to the public.
Quartus brings together a unique blend of styles, unlike anything else in the region. Hard to classify musically, its sound oozes of reggae, rock, blues and jam. The band has played all around the area from Lincoln, Neb., to Sioux Falls, S.D., and even shared the stage with Blue Oyster Cult and Survivor.
This is the final performance in the 2011 season of the Betty Ling Tsang Summer Fine Arts Series at Morningside College.
“This final performance in our summer series should be fun and exciting for audience members of all ages,” said Randy Peters, artistic director for the series.
