New appointments in the office of student services

Morningside College announces the new appointments of four staff members in the office of student services.

The staff members and their new titles are Shari Benson as director of new students; Stephanie Peters and Amy Williams as co-directors of admissions; and Robbie Rohlena as dean of enrollment.

Benson joined the staff in 1989 as office/ticket manager for the athletic department. She became the student services receptionist/secretary in 1998, administrative assistant to student services in 2001, and coordinator of student support services in 2005. Benson holds a bachelor’s degree from Morningside College.

Peters joined the staff in 2000 as an admissions counselor. She became assistant director of admissions in 2002, associate director of admissions in 2003, and senior associate director of admissions in 2005. Peters has a bachelor’s degree from Morningside.

Williams joined the staff in 1998, working in the office of institutional advancement as an annual giving officer. She joined the admissions office in 1999 as an admissions counselor. She became associate director of admissions in 2002 and senior associate director of admissions in 2005. She also has a bachelor’s degree from Morningside.

Rohlena joined the faculty in 1987 and taught in the area of mathematical sciences through 1997. She became director of the Achievement Center in 1998, associate dean of students in the fall of 1999, and dean of students in 2000. Rohlena holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa and a master’s degree from Morningside College.
