Early registration deadline approaches for summer fine arts camp

The early registration deadline is May 1 for a Fine Arts on Broadway camp June 18-22 at Morningside College.

It is open to any student entering kindergarten through 12th grade and will focus on developing skills in music, theatre and dance. Students will be divided into age groups to learn from experts in these three areas.

The camp will run from 8 a.m. to noon every day, with a performance at 7 p.m. Friday, June 22, in the Buhler Outdoor Performance Center at Morningside College. The performance is free and open to the public.

The camp is offered in connection with Lincoln Street Music Studio in Polk City, Iowa. Studio instructors Matt Schutt, Kim Bata and Brenda Ashley will teach at the camp along with dance expert Tracy Bennett from Siouxland Movement Arts Center.
