Professors and undergraduate students will gather at Morningside College for the Mathematics on the Northern Plains Undergraduate Conference from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 17, in the Walker Science Center, 1707 Morningside Ave.
The conference is free and open to the public. Registration information is available online at http://gandalf.morningside.edu/~mnp/.
The program for the day will include student presentations, two invited talks, lunch, math jeopardy and a panel discussion about opportunities in mathematics.
The Mathematics on the Northern Plains Undergraduate Conference is held annually at a college in Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota or South Dakota. It was established in 1999 by Assistant Professor Zsuzsanna Szaniszlo at the University of South Dakota with a grant from Exxon.
