Lacy Jacobsen, a Morningside College student from Charter Oak, Iowa, and Anne Torkelson, a Morningside College student from Norfolk, Neb., will present their senior art exhibitions Tuesday, May 5, through Saturday, May 9, in the Eppley Auditorium Art Gallery, 3625 Garretson Ave.
The show is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. A reception for the artists will be held at the gallery from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 7.
Jacobsen will be exhibiting commercial artwork, such as magazine layouts, package designs, logos and advertisements. She is majoring in graphic design and advertising, with a minor in mass communication.
Torkelson will be exhibiting a variety of media, such as painting, sculpture and printmaking. She is majoring in art education and just recently completed her student teaching at West Middle School and North High School in Sioux City.
