The Leo Kucinski Academy of Music, which opened in 2004, serves student musicians from age 4 through college. Private instruction is available for those who wish to study violin, viola, cello, bass, flute, clarinet, oboe, trumpet, low brass, percussion, piano or voice. Scholarships are available to those who demonstrate financial need.
In addition to private lessons, the academy offers monthly workshops, performance classes and early string group classes. It also manages the Siouxland Youth Orchestras and the Bishop Heelan Catholic School String Program.
The academy is made possible in part by a partnership between Morningside College and the Sioux City Symphony Orchestra.
