“Civic Responsibility” a senior art exhibition by Morningside College student Derek Rowedder, will be on display Wednesday, April 11, through Sunday, April 15, in Eppley Art Gallery, 3625 Garretson Avenue.
An artist’s reception will be held on Saturday, April 14, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the gallery. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.
The show will include various sculptures and graphic design. The graphic design portion will include logo design, advertising campaigns, corporate identities, and illustration. The sculpture portion will contain “graffiti-esque” wall sculptures as well as chopper-style bicycles.
Rowedder is majoring in graphic design at Morningside. His work has been on exhibit at the Sioux City Art Center during its 60th Juried Exhibition.
