“Light,” a senior thesis art exhibition by Morningside College student Libby Ruth Green, will be on display Tuesday, May 8, through Sunday, May 13, in Eppley Art Gallery, 3625 Garretson Avenue. An artist’s reception is slated for Saturday, May 12, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the gallery.
The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.
The show will consist of an installation of six black and white photographs printed on transparent ortho-lith film suspended from the gallery ceiling as well as a series of photographs capturing images from a neighborhood in the Morningside area of Sioux City.
Green, from Sioux City, is majoring in photography at Morningside. In addition to Eppley Art Gallery, her work has been exhibited in venues in Sioux City and published in the Sioux City Art Center’s quarterly calendar as well as in the Collegian Reporter, Morningside’s campus newspaper.
Eppley Art Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
